Elsa is a Colorado native from a large family, all of whom share the love of art and design. Her inspiration can be selective, such as when it is drawn from early childhood memories, particularly her father’s love of architecture and the drawings he did as a hobby. It can also be completely random such as those times when she approaches a blank canvas with no preconceived ideas and doesn’t know where it will end up.

You’ll find that her paintings share an intriguing play on genre and technique–many stylistically blurred, skewing the realistic, leaving the viewer to their own interpretation. She is particularly interested in the interplay of different mediums as well as the challenge of manipulating traditional painting methods. Elsa is always learning and developing a unique style of her own.

If Elsa is able to emotionally engage the viewer, she feels her work is done.
